Call the phone number of the bus provider because sometimes the schedule is not up to date. The Chinatown bus is less nice than Greyhound (smaller seats, no outlets, etc), but it's very good for the price.įor info on Greyhound schedules go to greyhound's websiteįor info on chinatown schedules go to foxwoods website and click on About Foxwoods > Getting Here > By Bus then look for the link that says 'International Bus Schedules'. It's extremely cheap ($15 round trip) and it gets there fast (2 to 2.5 hours). Take the Greyhound express - unfortunately this only runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and only once per day
If you want to avoid the Greyhound local you have two options: Casino, free all you can eat buffet (16 value) and 40 in match play. Many of the Greyhound buses from NY to Foxwoods are 'local' meaning there are lots of stops and it can take 4 or 5 hours to get there when it really should take 2.5 hours max. All Foxwoods results in Flushing, Queens, New York. They have pretty nice buses (WiFi, electrical outlets, comfortable seats) - but there is a major drawback. The main company that goes there is Greyhound from Port Authority. Too late for the OP, but perhaps my answer will help someone else who - like me - travels to Foxwoods by bus from NYC.
